Subject: Coronavirus Issue- Clarification of Previous
Message.
Brethren,
The Coronavirus issue is very much real in that it is affecting our daily lives. As
such, I issued a message dated March 13, 2020 intending to limit all lodge meetings and activities to Stated meetings as required by our Constitution. Having had many questions and suggestions
I am sending this message as clarification to my message dated March 13, 2020.
Until further notice only Stated meetings, as required by the Constitution of the Most
Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Arizona, are allowed. Stated meetings can be held with as few as five (5) officers and should be held to as short a time span as
required to complete lodge business. Until further notice there will be no dinners prior to Stated meetings.
Second, I am issuing a Blanket Dispensation to Arizona
lodges to not hold a Stated meeting when a Worshipful Master feels that he cannot hold a Stated meeting for health and safety reasons or because the lodge pedestal officers cannot
attend. If a lodge which has no pedestal officers to attend the DDGM (who could himself preside if he is a PM of that lodge) could call on any lodge Past Master to
preside.
Third, those Lodges which have only 10 stated meetings a year will have to make up any
meetings that are missed.
Finally, when a Stated meeting is held, attending officers will follow the precautions
established by our state governments, i.e. no handshakes, washing hands regularly, wiping down surfaces and maintaining the recommended “social distance.”
In all cases if a brother is feeling ill, coughing, etc. or if a brother does not feel
comfortable attending a Stated meeting, he/they should stay home.
Fraternally and sincerely.

It is important to the Craft and the Candidate that we do good work. Practices will be held every Wednesday night except for the Stated Meeting night.
Get to practicing! There are several Candidates awaiting degrees and we need to get them on their way to their Masonic life. We've got several new members who should be coming to the practices and
becoming more familiar with the work. All hands on deck!
Those 'new' officers in the line and appointed officers should start studying the Master's part for each of the degrees and get a head start on one of the major
lectures. START NOW! You won't regret it.
